Caramel Popcorn Recipe
Perfect caramel popcorn for any occasion or holiday. Reduce the baking time of the covered corn if you prefer chewy popcorn.
Ingredient
– 5 quarts popped popcorn
– 1 cup butter
– 2 cups brown sugar
– ½ cup corn syrup
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– ½ teaspoon baking soda

Set the oven's temperature to 250°F, or 120°C. Popcorn should be put in a big bowl.

Melt butter in a medium pot. Stir in salt, corn syrup, and brown sugar. Continue stirring as it boils. Let boil without stirring for 4 minutes.

Remove pan from heat and add vanilla and baking soda. Thinly pour caramel over popcorn while stirring. Stir to coat evenly.

Divide popcorn between two large shallow baking dishes. Bake for 1 hour in preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes.
