My mom made these scotcharoos, a family favorite. Peanut butter, chocolate, and butterscotch are crunchy and delectable.
– 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, or as needed– 1 ½ cups peanut butter– 1 cup light corn syrup– 1 cup white sugar– 6 cups crisp rice cereal– ½ cup semisweet chocolate chip– ½ cup butterscotch chip

Butter generously a baking pan measuring 9 by 13 inches and leave it aside.

Mix peanut butter, corn syrup, and sugar in a big pot. Melt peanut butter over medium heat. Bring mixture to boil. Get off the heat.

Add rice cereal and stir until fully mixed. Pour mixture into pan that has been prepared. and use buttered hands to pat it down.

Mix chocolate and butterscotch chips in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat until smooth. Bar-top spread.

When it has totally cooled, around twenty minutes, cut it into twenty-four squares.
